Ohhh… Shiny!

I was kind of hoping Erik would show up my post with some pictures from his recent trip to New York.  I guess he’s just a little slow this week. Just kidding E ☺

We love when it’s a busy wedding season. Each wedding day is an opportunity for us to shine by capturing brilliant and creative images. However, we are in that lovely season called winter or “off-season”.  So it’s a little slow with only a few weddings in the next couple months. On the other hand, we are having a ball designing albums for our previous clients.

It’s so rewarding to shoot all of these weddings and then come back and start designing their album.  You may notice on your wedding day Erik shooting certain things you may not even realize what he is shooting. I remember one wedding where he told me he was going to get the case of equipment so we could move it into the reception room. So I thought to myself, I want to see what he’s actually doing when he’s getting the case. Sure enough there’s Erik with his camera crawling around shooting flowers, architecture, anything shiny that catches his eye! Thanks to his creativeness, we use a lot of these detail shots for backgrounds for the pages of the albums. I think it’s those shots that really bring the albums together. So thanks Erik, for being distracted by shiny things!
Enjoy some of these detail shots, and I sure hope Erik doesn’t poke fun at me too much when finally decides to post on here!  AlsoI have two new albums to unveil on here in the next post, so keep your eyes open for those awesome details used in the backgrounds.

Weekend Getaways…

Well it’s been a couple weeks since I last posted so here goes!

Last weekend  both Erik and I went away for the weekend. He went with his family to visit his brother in New York and I was in sunny Florida!  I think I got the better end of the deal on that one. I was there running the Disney half marathon.  It was such an awesome experience. I enjoyed it so much that I already signed up to do it again next year!

I ran the 13.1 miles with my dad and we were just happy that we survived!  I’m even crazy and took my little point and shoot camera with me and took pictures of every mile marker along the course. The race started at 6am and in typical disney fashion there were fireworks, live bands, characters everywhere along the route. So needless to say, you have a lot to look at while you’re running. Here are some of the professional race pictures mixed in with mine

Lights.. Camera.. Patriots!

Well Happy 2008 everyone! I hope everyone had a great holiday and a happy new year. I just wanted to update everyone on something very cool that happened at one of the weddings this past weekend.

Kym and Greg are huge Patriots fans and of course their wedding day happened to fall on the night of the big game. Not only that but they managed to get a TV at their reception site (Lakeview Pavilion) so everyone could enjoy the wedding and the game! Well long story short. But NECN got wind of this and came to do a story for the news that night!

Here is the link to the video… I hope it works for everyone:

I also had to share these screen captures from the video… Erik and I hard at work!

It was a great night for both Kym and Greg and of course for the Patriots! 16-0!!
